I’m a family caregiver, how do I use the app to help my loved one?
If the user has created a Google Fit Account or enabled Apple Health Kit, you'll be able to see their health information. To enable Google Fit or Apple health, your loved one just needs to go to the Health Page , and click the button that reads Enable Health Data Access.
First, make sure your loved one has turned on Health access for the app. You won’t be able to do this on your phone for them, but if you have access to their device you can help them with these steps:
To start, go to the Health Page , and click the button that reads Enable Health Data Access.
From here, follow the prompts your app asks you.
If you have an iPhone, click enable health data access, follow the prompts.
Note: These settings will only work on iPhones, and not iPads, as Apple has not created health software for iPad.
If you have an Android, after clicking enable health data access, follow the prompts on the page and sign into your Google Fit account. If you don’t have a Google Fit account, download the app from the Play Store and create your account. Once your account is created, click on the email address from the list of options to authenticate your health access.
Once permissions have been set on the app, to see user health data, click on the health icon . You can also see user health information quickly by clicking on the Summary tab on the home page . Next, select whichever family member you would like to see information about from the dropdown menu in the upper right hand corner.
